WHAT IS HYDROMULCH ?

Hydromulch is a cost effective alternative to conventional sod and is a proven method for erosion prevention. Hydromulch is 10% of the cost of sod, so it can be used to reduce costs while not compromising quality. Many architects and engineers specify hydromulch when they are attempting to reduce costs. By saving money with hydromulch, the owner may use the additional funds for other improvements, or the cost savings may be turned into profit. Hydromulch results in additional PROFIT for your project!

Hydromulch is the mechanical combination of wood/cellulose fiber mulch, fertilizer, seed of any variety, tacifier bonding agents, and water. These additives are mixed in a hopper truck and sprayed through a hose or a turret onto the prepared soil. Depending on the specific moisture conditions, the seed should germinate in roughly a week and the grass should be ready to mow within a month. Every property is unique, so please consult with us so that you know when to expect the best results.

When the hydromulch is applied, the material comes out of the hose as a greenish color. Hydromulch is dyed green to help the applicator accurately apply the material. The greenish hue will fade in a few days, but this does not mean that the hydromulch is not working. With the right conditions (rain/irrigation, sun, temperature), the greenish hue will be replaced by a permanent field of grass.
